Agulu People Rejects Peter's Offer, Vows To Vote APGA/WILLIE OBIANO On Nov. 18TH

The people-friendly governor, Chief Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano in the company of the Chairman of Willie Obiano Reelection Campaign Committee, Chief Sir Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) on Saturday 7th October 2017 honored an invitation by the good people of Agulu community; the home town of former APGA Governor Peter Obi who currently projects Mr Obaze as a means of wrestling power from his successor Willie Obiano who has performed credibly within the past 3 years and has impacted lives of Ndi Anambra directly. However, the Agulu people despite Peter's efforts in luring them into his new opposition party (PDP) have refused to compromise their choice of APGA and the hardworking Governor Willie Obiano for the forthcoming November 18th governorship election in Anambra state.

In a meeting with the stakeholders of Agulu community convened by High Chief Dan Ogbuefi (Ide Agulu) and attended by the Igwe representative Ichie-Ukwu Josiah Offor-Ugwuka (Oba Agulu), Ichie-Ukwu Christopher Dillinye (Ezemmadu-Akonam), the members of Agulu Nze na Ozo prestigious society, President General of Agulu People's Union (Women Wing), Lady Theresa Okoye, High Court Judge, Justice P. A. Oguchi, former President General of Agulu People's Union, Prof Ezeaku, the C.E.O of Juhel Pharmaceutical Ltd. Chief Ifeanyi Eric Okoye (Nze Akonobi), African Lightweight Boxing Champion, Chief Jude Iloh (Akpukpo Enyi), Chief Franklin Anazodo (C.E.O Franklin Marbles), The Spouse of late Prof. Dora Akunyili, Chief Dr Chike Akunyili. Other major Agulu stakeholders present were Chief Dr. Jimmy Okonkwo (Onwa Agulu), the M.D of O.D Best Sup. Market, Chief O.D Best, Chief Humphrey Ogbuefi, Chief Agidigbo Prof Ogbuagu and numerous others...


Also present was political class of Agulu led by Hon Chief Charles Azubike Okoye (Odenigbo Agulu), Member, Anambra State House of Assembly representing Anaocha 1 Constituency, the SSA to the Governor on Inter-Party Matters, Chief Ben Obi (Mbuze Agulu), the SSA to the Governor on Diaspora Matters, Hon Cy Agupugo, the former Leader of Anaocha Legislative Council and SA to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon Chief Silas Ejeabocha (Agunecheibe Agulu), the Deputy Woman Leader of APGA Anambra state, Lady Njideka Muojeke and others.

During a special prayer marking the beginning of the event, the former PG of APU, Prof Ezeaku declared that Gov Willie Obiano is willingly working for the betterment of Anambra state and should be reelected to continue with the good work. He emphasized that Agulu and Aguleri as well as Aguluzigbo are brothers thus, Agulu people shall not despise of their brother (Willie Obiano) for any other in the forthcoming election. He thanked God for using Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and Chief Sir Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Agulu) in bringing the good news of APGA to Ndi Anambra which obviously has been a blessing to the state. He prayed God that the party (APGA) shall not die but continue to wax stronger for the betterment of our state and others.

On his part, Ichie-Ukwu Josiah Offor-Ugwuka (Oba Agulu) thanked God for placing the affairs of Anambra into the capable hands of Gov Willie Obiano, praying for His grace upon him (Gov Willie Obiano) and his team ahead of the November 18th governorship election which according to him(Oba) shall be to the favor of APGA and the continuity of good governance.

Similarly, the convener, Chief Dan Ogbuefi (Ide Agulu) emphasized the need for such gathering as a necessity especially now that their brother Peter Obi who once benefited from the forum now parades another candidate against the collective wish of the people. Chief Ogbuefi stressed that the forthcoming election is not to be toiled with as it is indubitably as fight against the collective interest of Ndi Anambra. He called on the people to insist on voting for APGA and Governor Willie Obiano who has brought unprecedented development especially in the areas of security of lives and properties to the state. Some of them recounted their experiences during the menace of kidnapping but boldly announces that they can now confidently go about without security guards in their expensive cars giving credits to the sincere efforts of Governor Willie Obiano in fighting crime in the state.

Chief Ogbuefi expressed dissatisfaction with the unfortunate and unexpected dispositions of Peter Obi on issues about leadership in the state since he left office as governor, describing it as inconsistent with his initial confessions to the Agulu community where he urged them to support APGA against the PDP, APC or any other. He enumerated several projects the Agulu community has benefited under Governor Willie Obiano's administration urging Ndi Agulu to unanimously cast their votes for APGA and Governor Willie Obiano on November 18th 2017.

ON MY PART, I keep wondering why Peter Obi is doing all what he is doing even against the wish of the people of his home town Agulu... Recall that the Agulu people once warned him to hands-off the proposed Anambra Central Senatorial Re-run Election and allow the people own a senator for the progress of the zone but he (Peter Obi) denied having any interest in the contest yet continued to sponsor Tom, Dick and Harry in a protracted court tussle in an unrealizable wish of foiling the election that obviously favors Chief Sir Victor Umeh. But no gainsaying about who is against the progress of Anambra as the wolf once in sheep clothing has finally won its true skin... Peter has declared that even with his own blood, he shall fight to destroy APGA and quash the good governance Ndi Anambra has enjoyed for the past 11years.
